The "Music" Story
Erik Isaacs is an award winning topline (melody/lyric) songwriter living in the Los Angeles suburb of the San Fernando Valley. Erik is like a chameleon working in most all genres of pop music including Top 40, Dance, Rock, R&B/Soul, Country, AC, Singer-Songwriter, Hip-Hop, etc. Having worked with some of the industry's best including Grammy winning/nominated #1 hit making artists, writers, producers, engineers, and musicians (please see "Clients/Collabs" page), Erik has gained an industry respected reputation for his songwriting skills, ability to help developing artists, and his big heart.
Erik's credits include MCA Records, Warner Bros. Records, Hollywood Records, Disney Records, APG/Atlantic, MJJ/Sony, Paramount Pictures, ABC, NBC, CBS, TBS, BET, HBO, Showtime, Discovery, Starz, and awards including Billboard #1 & #2 albums (Billboard 200, R&B/Hip-Hop, Top Soundtracks, and Top Kids Albums), American Music Award Top Soundtrack of the Year, certified RIAA Multi-Platinum, Lionel Richie Songwriting Award, Omni Youth Award for Album of the Year, etc. Always striving for perfection in his craft, Erik continues to work with today's finest songwriters, producers, and artists, including artists featured on popular shows like American Idol, The Voice, and America's Got Talent.
MIRAGE MUSIC MANAGEMENT - JERRY GREENBERG (1/15 - Present))
Over the course of his many years in Artist Development, directly landing record deals for artists with his work, and working with industry veterans, Erik has partnered with long-time friend, mentor, and legendary record executive, Jerry Greenberg (Former President of labels including Atlantic Records, ATCO Records, MGM/UA Records, WTG Records, Mirage Records, and Michael Jackson's label MJJ/Sony Records), with their boutique Personal Management, Publishing, and Artist Development company Mirage Music Management (MMM). Together, they helped land a record deal with the remarkably talented Avonlea at Art Club International (Anderson .Paak, Jhené Aiko, Oshi), who upstreamed to APG/Atlantic. Currently, MMM is working with several songwriter/producers and artists on various projects and artists including Fifth Harmony's Normani, Drake, French Montana, Swizz Beatz, J. Cole's label Dreamville, Jason Derulo, NCT 127, and LAY (of Exo).
ARTIST MAX - KEN CAILLAT (10/2017 - 2/2019)
While working with MMM, Erik was also simultaneously Head of A&R and partner at ArtistMax LLC, an artist development company co-founded by legendary Grammy winning producer Ken Caillat (Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, Pat Benatar, Billy Idol, Colbie Caillat, etc.), working at the company studio in Westlake Village (Revolver Studios). Erik was responsible for curating and developing talent through the Artist Max mentoring program, helping artists with their songwriting, in-studio recording skills, finding their true inner artist and direction, producing, and business mentoring. Erik continues to work with ArtistMax as a consultant.
MUSIC LIBRARY WORK
Erik has 100's of placement credits with TV production companies, music libraries, and music content providers. For example, Erik also works with another of Ken Caillat's companies Alcon/Sleeping Giant Music Group (ASG) as an independent songwriter. ASG is partnered with and is a music content provider for Alcon/Sony Pictures as well as many other Film, TV, brand, commercial, and other filmed projects. Erik also works as an independent songwriter for other such well-respected music libraries and content provider companies including Vanacore Music and We3Kings.
